Currently, I am the Postmaster for Bear Lake BC. This position as you may have guested is under the Canada Post
umbrella. I am married to my beloved wife Sandra for 45 years. Together we had 4 beautiful children, Our youngest
unfortunately passed away at a young age. Our other children, 2 girls (Lindsay and Charlene) and a boy (Vincent) have
grown into strong and smart adults. We also have 4 grand children at this time.
I was born in Vancouver, BC and I grew up and attended school there. Upon finishing high school, I enrolled n a business
management program at Langara College. At the time my goals were to get into sales as I thought it would be a good
career. As I developed my skills in sales I started to lean towards a management position which was later offered to me,
and I became a branch manager for a major insurance company in Regina, Saskatchewan. As time went on I found
management offered many things except freedom. At that time I decided to go after a position with the computer industry.
Over the next 10 years or so while working and supporting my family, I enrolled in and completed a number of education
endeavors leading me further into the computer world, which I stayed in until 2020 when the lock-downs and subsequent
mandates were forced upon us.
Some of my hobbies include gardening and building as well a a great deal of interest in traditional living, in growing, and
foraging I have a tremendous respect for nature and the world we live in. During the 90's I enrolled the Canadian Forces
Reserves and moved through the ranks until after 6 years as a Captain I decided to end my career there. I have experience
in many facets of building and have demolished and started a number of projects over the years. The most intriguing
hobby I have is one that peeked my interest in the mid 70's (computers) and I have been involved with them as a business
interest and a personal interest ever since.
