Press release - People’s Party announces candidate in Toronto–St. Paul’s by-election

June 6, 2024

Ottawa, ON, June 6, 2024 — The People’s Party of Canada is proud to announce that its candidate in the upcoming Toronto–St. Paul’s by-election will be Dr. Dennis Wilson, a systems expert with strong financial acumen, a people and organizational expert, and an author.

Dennis was born and raised in Alberta. He received a BSc from the University of Alberta with major coursework in biology and sociology, as well as a specialization in psychology. While living in Edmonton, Doctor Wilson worked with the CIBC, Ducks Unlimited and also started his own consulting, bookkeeping and personal income tax business.

In 1987, he moved to Hamilton to attend McMaster University, and he received his MBA in Management Science and Information Systems in 1990. He worked as a contract employee and consultant for the City of Hamilton, where he assisted in implementing a new property tax system. While he was working for Nortel in Texas for a few years, Dennis received his PhD in Organization and Management from Capella University.

He returned to Canada in 2007 and returned to his consulting business in 2009. During this time, He wrote and published the book Human Psychology for Business. In 2016, he and his wife purchased and opened the Lighthouse Restaurant on the Parkway. The restaurant was sold in 2021 and they then took up raising chickens, and growing garlic and other vegetables on their hobby farm.

Dennis is dedicated to helping make life more livable and affordable for Canadians. Among his top policy priorities are lower taxes, an end to mass immigration, and the abolition of all federal DEI (Diversity, Equity and Inclusion) programs and policies.

“The Trudeau government has destroyed Canadians’ standard of living and quality of life with its disastrous big-spending and divisive woke policies,” stated Dennis Wilson. “After 27 years with Liberal Carolyn Bennett, it’s time for the people of Toronto–St. Paul’s to send someone to Ottawa who understands how business and the economy work!”

“Dennis has a vast experience in a whole range of fields, from business to psychology, accounting, farming, systems management, and more. I’m delighted to have him in our team and look forward to canvassing with him in Toronto,” declared PPC leader Maxime Bernier.

Dennis’ candidate website can be found at www.denniswilson.ca.

The by-election in Toronto–St. Paul’s will take place on June 24.
